Andrew Kuiken, DMSc, PA-C

Andrew Kuiken, DMSc, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with over a decade of clinical experience. PA Kuiken earned his Doctorate of Medical Science from Rocky Mountain University, reflecting his dedication to advancing medical expertise. He founded Christian Psychiatry & Wellness after witnessing Christian children, teens, and adults directed toward therapies that celebrated lifestyles contrary to biblical teachings, with over-prescribed medications, ignored side effects, and minimal follow-up.

At Christian Psychiatry & Wellness, care is distinctly evidence-based, drawing from the latest guidelines and research, while embracing a conservative pharmacology philosophy of “less is more,” titrating to the minimum effective dose, with zero tolerance for side effects and immediate adjustments if needed. Treatment plans are collaboratively hand-crafted with patients, integrating medication management only when truly necessary, non-medication options like supplements when appropriate, and partnerships with biblical counselors, Christian therapists, or your existing providers, all underpinned by an unapologetic Christian worldview, values, and prayerful discernment.

With frequent appointments for close monitoring, detailed evaluations, and a holistic focus on restoring your quality of life, you’ll never feel rushed, reduced to a chart number, or pressured into identities conflicting with Scripture; instead, expect advanced psychiatric care delivered with compassion, precision, and a commitment to your overall well-being.

Conditions Treated

Throughout his career, PA Kuiken has worked with a diverse range of patients, from kids as young as age 5 to the elderly. His particular interest lies in various psychiatric conditions, and he has expertise in managing cases of ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, PA Kuiken has experience in managing women's psychiatric conditions, such as anxiety and depression during and after pregnancy and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, a severe form of PMS.
